Decorate a den or a living room with this pair of colorful polychrome garden stools. Created in Japan, circa 1970 and round in shape, the vintage porcelain seats are pierced on the top and around the perimeter for an intricate, sculptural effect. They are decorated with gilt dot appliqués in high relief. Each exotic Asian stool features two hand painted scenes with joyful Japanese people outdoor and working. Both decors are further embellished with butterfly, floral, and foliage motifs. The vibrant, versatile ceramic seats are in excellent condition with rich colors in the red, green, beige,and gilt palette; they could also be used as accent tables on an outdoor patio. Stamped Satsuma on the underside. Measures: 12.5″ diameter 18″ height.
