Decorate a mantel or a console with this colorful pair of antique cassolettes. Crafted in France circa 1870, each urn is built of porcelain stands on a square bronze base with cut corners decorated with leaf motifs. Each vessel features a decorative cone-shaped bronze finial at the pediment, a pair of bronze swan shaped side handles and foliage decor. Each vase is further embellished with floral and leaf swag gilt mounts draping around the periphery under the traditional Louis XVI ribbon bow. The large, carved cassolettes with cobalt blue colors, associated with patinated bronze dore are in excellent condition. Place these large vases on a buffet or table for an undeniable Parisian, French elegance. The urns could also be converted into beautiful table lamps. Measures: 6″ W x 6″ D x 20.5″ H.
