$1,200
About
Bring colors to your mantel with this pair of antique Majolica vases with fruit motifs. Crafted in Southern France, circa 1880, this ceramic composition is a Classic example of barbotine artistry. The sculptural and colorful vessels are decorated with two pears in high relief in the green mustard palette, completed with brown stems and green leaves, and ending with pink flowers and red grapes. The intricate vases have a hand painted green base finish, while the griffon handles and bases are an earthy brown shade. The tall vases are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn rich, warm, realistic colors; they are further embellished with a pale blue glaze finish on the inside. Markings on the underside. Measures: 10″ W x 8.5″ D x 12″ H.
