Decorate a kitchen wall or a breakfast room with this large pair of antique majolica plates. Sculpted in France circa 1880 in the manner of Longchamp, each colorful porcelain platter is decorated with hand painted fruit motifs in high relief; one plate is dressed with four red and yellow apples in high relief, hanging from a tree branch covered with green leaves. The other platter features four yellow and orange pears embellished with green leaf decor and also attached to a branch. Both chargers have a brown, beige, light blue and pink background palette. The important decorative wall platters are in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn well-maintained, vivid colors. Hanging wire devise in the back for easy installation. Markings on the underside with number 155 for further authentication. Measures: 14.5″ diameter.
